Master Ownage – Commentary - TeamSpeak Games

BeefThief is one of the best Drifters around. Not only has he been playing Metal Drift since 2008 - while it was still in beta - but he continues to hone his skills often. His suggestions have helped shape Metal Drift into what it is today. Check out his commentary on this fantastic full-server game recorded on July 12, 2011 in the Master configuration of the Metro Deck.

Pickup – Master – Feb 19, 2011 - TeamSpeak Games

The developers, Twitch and Electronaut, wanted to gather the community together to play a few rounds. Luckily, I was able to record two of the games, both of which were absolutely epic.

This game was played on Master. Master contains a ball spawn between two goals, two platforms in front of each team shield to provide some height advantage, and two boost tunnels run along both sides of the map. Drakon, BeefThief (me), Zen&Chaos, Slamscape, Twitch, and LittleBoyBot were on Alpha. Champbob, Electronaut, GeoffDIY, Royt1988, Ethyl, and OmegaBot made up Omega.

Pickup – Broadsword – Feb 18, 2011 - TeamSpeak Games

The developers, Twitch and Electronaut, wanted to gather the community together to play a few rounds. Luckily, I was able to record two of the games, both of which were absolutely epic.

The first game was played on Broadsword. Broadsword has two goals close to each other, separated by a “death pit”, upper and lower levels, and a ball spawn on the opposite side of the map. Alpha consisted of Slamscape, Champbob, Drakon, BeefThief (me), GeoffDIY, and GammaBot. Omega was Ethyl, Twitch Electronaut, Zen&Chaos, OmegaBot, and LittleBoyBot.

Friday Pickup – Broadsword – Jun 25, 2010 - TeamSpeak Games

Broadsword is just so intense! There is some serious plasmas launcher action going on here with nearly everyone lobbing into the pit between the goals. That accompanied by Twitch’s excellent use of Stealth throughout… this is an awesome match to watch. Wiweeyum’s POV on the top, and Slamscape’s POV on the bottom. Sadly his audio got all screwy, but it’s still cool to get two different perspectives from the same match.

Players Include:
LittleBoyBlue, Twitch, Drakon, DRYICE, TheGreySeer, Slamscape, Ethyl Perchlorate, Wiweeyum, DogFace, BeefTheif, ChampBob, Sean M.

Friday Pickup – Burnside – Jun 25, 2010 - TeamSpeak Games

This map is so good when it’s full of players. Tons of carnage (splodey an’ all that), with crazy goals, weird jumps that fail, and people that just shoot whoever instead of trying to make goals (Wiweeyum). Quite a few cool things talked about in this match too, like the beginning of the tournament, grudge matches, and even the nefarious invincible player bug and how to spot it.

Players include: Wiweeyum, Sean M, BeefThief, Drakon, ChampBob, CoinCol, DRYICE, Ethyl Percholate, LittleBoyBlue, thegreyseer, dogface57.

Friday Pickup – Diamondback – Jun. 6, 2010 - TeamSpeak Games

This is a full match played on Diamondback. There are a number of close saves and good goals. Diamondback is always a fantastic blend of thick combat and breakaway scores. The speed tunnels have an opening halfway down allowing players to jump in and destroy runners before they even get to the enemy tank spawn. With proper defenders, Diamondback is an extraordinarily difficult map to score on.

Pickup – Master – Jun. 4, 2010 - TeamSpeak Games

From champbob’s perspective, you can watch a game with some good scoring. He uses Missile Launcher and AutoRepair. There’s a very close save around 3:00.

Other players include:
-Ethyl Percholate
-Primal_Hunter
-Slamacape
-CalldronBorn
-DRY2010ICE
-BeefThief
-CannibalBob
-LittleBoyBlue

Pickup – Broadsword – Jun. 4, 2010 - TeamSpeak Games

This is a well played match from the perspective of champbob. He uses speed and the missile launcher. Speed is a very useful upgrade in Broadsword. The video gets choppy due to lag in the last few minutes, and it’s a low score game.

Players include:
-Ethyl Percholate
-Primal_Hunter
-Slamscape
-CalldronBorn
-DRY2010ICE
-BeefThief
-CannibalBob
-LittleBoyBlue
